Brake Service

Inspect brake pads, rotors, brake fluid flush

2 hrLocation 1

Service Description

If you hear grinding or feel a sponginess when braking, it is possibly time to pull into a NAPA Auto Care center. Automotive brakes are subjected to powerful friction, intense heat and trapped moisture or air. How often brake pads need replaced depends on the climate in which you drive and your driving habits. On average, brake pads should last 20,000 to 80,000 miles. A brake inspection needs performed every 10,000 to 12,000 miles as part of your routine vehicle maintenance, even if you have an electric vehicle with regenerative brakes. You should plan to have your brake fluid flushed and replaced every two to five years. A NAPA technician will measure your vehicle’s brake fluid level during a full-service oil change, but brake service is required to address brake line repair from a brake fluid leak in the hose. Technicians can perform brake repair services on either front brakes, back brakes or both. Keep in mind, professional brake work is duplicated on both wheels of the same axle.
